Friends of Barshaw Park are hosting an Open Event in the Walled Garden in Barshaw Park on Saturday 18th May.
Our aim is to showcase the work our volunteers have done within the garden to restore it, as it’s once again a beautiful garden, after a period of neglect.
Visitors will be able to learn about the history of the garden and hear about the work done by all our volunteers who include the University of the Third Age, Beavers and Cubs, corporate volunteers from Thermo Fisher, local individuals and others from far and wide.
On the day, there will be a small orchestra, Flutephonics, playing, an art exhibition by Paisley Artists, a plant sale, and refreshments and snacks will be provided. There
may be a few surprises too! There will be an admission charge of £3 per adult. There is no charge for children but they must be accompanied by an adult.
We hosted this event for the first time last year, and it was very successful. We hope to see those who attended last year attend again, and lots of new visitors too!
