Christmas Cards now added to our sales table

We are selling sets of beautiful, good quality, handmade greeting cards featuring original photographs by Dr Mark Shephard. The cards are blank for your own message. The cards depict winter scenes in Barshaw Park. There are sold in sets of 6 assorted designs and cost £5 for 6 plus £1 postage. Our Junior parkrun is up and running in Barshaw Park, every Sunday morning at 9.30am. It is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds).  Free to take part. Just register once with Parkrun, and bring along your barcode. Register link: t is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds). Barshaw Gala Day – Volunteers required !

A week on Saturday, that’s the 23rd June, is Barshaw Gala Day. Friends of Barshaw Park will be there. We’ll have a stand and we will also be conducting a survey of park users. This will be a short questionnaire that will provide us with essential information, about how visitors use and perceive the park. The information will be a great help in applying for funding. Friends of Barshaw Park AGM will be held on 9th April at 7 pm in the Rowantree Cafe in Barshaw Park. We would like to see as many of our supporters, and anyone else who cares about Barshaw Park, come along to the meeting. We will be reviewing the past year in the park, and looking forward to future plans. We would like to hear your views and ideas. Junior Parkrun Meeting

We have funding to start a Junior Parkrun in Barshaw Park. We need volunteers to help run the event. if you would like to help, please come along to our meeting tomorrow morning, 25th February at 10 am in the Rowantree Cafe in Barshaw Park

Our AGM will be on 20 April 2015 in Rowantree Cafe at 7.30pm. All our friends are welcome.Please let us know if you plan to attend. We are currently looking for up to 5 committee members to join the present Board. Previous experience is NOT necessary, simply a desire to support our efforts to maintain and improve our park. If you have skills in fund raising, marketing, consultation or like gardening, organising fetes, or tidy ups then so much the better, but a willingness to support our efforts is the main criteria. The minimum time required is 2 hours per month.
